Collection: CHARLES H KERR PUBLISHING COMPANY
Do you need to reconcile the teachings of Karl Marx, Frederick Engels and the Haymarket anarchists with Paul Lafargue’s The Right to Be Lazy? You’ve come to the right place.
Since their beginnings in 1886 (!), the Charles H. Kerr Publishing Company has been printing books and pamphlets with an anti-capitalist, anarchist, and revolutionary spirit that is unparalleled in the book trade. Their mix of publications is wild, but it makes sense when you think about it: Marx & Engels next to Lucy Parsons and Paul Lafargue; communists and surrealists; bohemians and Wobblies.
We're blessed to have such an august publishing house for radical and outsider literature. They've done an amazing job keeping rad titles in print, and they continue to put out new books! Among their recent releases are Social Contagion, a collection of essays by the Chuang collective analyzing the COVID-19 outbreak in Wuhan; and Acceptable Men, Noel Ignatiev's posthumous memoir of his time spent working in the blast furnace division of U.S. Steel Gary Works in the early 1970s.
All this and more awaits the discerning reader of Charles Kerr books!
