Dr. Modibo Mkwawa Kadalie, Associate Professor of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Savannah State University, received a B.A. from Morehouse College, a M.S. from Howard University, a M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Atlanta University.

During the early and middle 1970's Dr. Kadalie was an active member of several radical organizations. In the League of Revolutionary Black Workers (LRBW), he served as a member of the Central staff and Chair of the Peoples Action Committee, in Highland Park, Michigan. In the International African Liberation Support Committee (ALSC), Kadalie was a founding member of the National Steering Committee. He chaired the Detroit local committee in 1972-73 and then continued as a member of the expanded International Steering Committee as a representative from Atlanta, 1973-75. Within the Sixth-PAC he chaired the Southern Regional Organizing Committee from 1974-75 and was also a member of both the North American Delegation and the North American Left Revolutionary Pan-African Caucus.

"This is serious, definitive, and useful scholarship that requires a rethinking of what happened between the end of the Civil Rights Movement and the struggle for Black liberation... Kadalie has closed a critical lacuna between the 1960s and the end of the 20th century. This study requires that we look back, if we are to prevent the future from rushing to the past." - Rickey Hill, Professor and Chair, Department of History and Political Science, South Carolina State University

"Internationalism, Pan-Africanism, and the Struggle of Social Classes, fills a need to analyze the praxis of independent Black radical organizations of the late 1960s and early 1970s that are not yet part of the popular culture. The League of Revolutionary Black Voters with its emphasis upon point of production radical activism and the African Liberation Support Committee with its critical focus on international praxis are Black leftist organizations that are still having an impact a generation later. This work will widen and deepen that impact." - Fanon Wilkins, Assistant Professor of African American Studies, Syracuse University

"There is more to Black radicalism during the Black Power period than just the Panthers, more to the support of African struggle than Transafrica, and more to the struggle for African unity than just the OAU. Internationalism, Pan-Africanism and the Struggle of Social Classes is attempting to add to a more complete picture." - Akwilah-Dama, Retired Transit Worker, Detroit, Michigan

"This is a book that young activists of my generation can learn a lot from. I am definitely glad it has finally been put in print." - Daryl Simmons, Student, Savannah State University

"Scholars and activists of this generation must read this work. It is full of the flavor of the young radicals from the previous generation. We stand on their shoulders." - Shaka Zulu, Savannah State University Graduate
