Crecer como okupa en un barrio complicado de Alcalá de Henares y dentro de los Testigos de Jehová marcó los límites de lo que Noemí creía que podía soñar. Aprendió desde niña a obedecer y a sentirse barro en manos de otros.

Pero su vida estaba destinada a romperse muchas veces: un accidente que casi la destroza, un matrimonio impuesto por la culpa, una expulsión de los Testigos que la dejó completamente sola y alejada de su familia… y la certeza de que, para seguir adelante, tenía que encontrar algo que nunca le habían enseñado: su propia voz.

Growing up as a squatter in a tough neighborhood in Alcalá de Henares and within the Jehovah’s Witnesses set the limits of what Noemí believed she could dream of. From childhood, she learned to obey and feel like clay in the hands of others.

But her life was destined to be broken many times: an accident that almost destroyed her, a marriage imposed by guilt, expulsion from the Witnesses that left her completely alone and estranged from her family... and the certainty that, in order to move forward, she had to find something she had never been taught: her own voice.
