ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
We return to the earth. We have never truly left it, of course, but the strategic forgetting of the matter that sustains us—and that we ourselves are—upon which the practices and rapacity of extractive economies are founded, economies that regard the planet as an endless reservoir of natural resources ripe for exploitation, has come up against the limits imposed by climate change.
In this context, it is increasingly difficult to write about “the human condition” without taking into account the contested territories on which we set our feet, and the bodies of the species that, in constant and unresolved companionship, shape our present condition. That is why it is now necessary to speak of geological writings.
