As Tunga reveals in conversation with Beverly Adams, a performance to him is an opportunity to explore an installation piece. In 2006, he installed
Laminated Souls--a hyper-symmetrical laboratory, in which systemization and metamorphosis interlock--in three rooms at the Botanical Gardens in Rio de Janeiro, and there he realized a performance with two scientists, flies, frogs and a host of performers.
