For his retrospective at the Kunsthalle Zurich, currently housed at the Museum Bärengasse, Austrian artist Heimo Zobernig (born 1958) reworked his entire oeuvre of video works and cardboard and board objects by submerging the exhibition in red light. This publication reviews Zobernig's career from 1985 to the present and addresses his approach to the retrospective.
