Emerging from new Scottish town anonymity during the early 1980, The Jesus And Mary Chain have carved a path through alternative music that is as confrontational as it is hypnotic. Later releases showed a quieter, acoustic side before the band fractured after Munki (1998). It was recorded in adversity, but remains a band favourite. Reuniting a decade later for well-received live dates around the world, the Reid brothers rewarded fans with Damage And Joy (2017) and Glasgow Eyes (2024), proving their chemistry - and their knack for blending beauty with chaos – has remained intact.
