Arlie Adkins is an academic and author with degrees from University of Oregon and UC Berkeley. His research on urban health and safety disparities is widely cited and has been featured in
The New York Times,
The Washington Post, and
The Guardian. Originally from Oregon, he now divides his time between Tucson and Portland. His short story, “Stations at Which the Trains Do Not Stop,” was a semifinalist for American Short Fiction’s 2025 Halifax Ranch Fiction Prize.
