When a torrent washes away the world, what remains must be protected – no matter the cost. As rain falls in biblical volumes across the globe, Britain is subsumed by water. Robert has become their de facto leader of their collective, and when Delia witnesses the ferocity of Robert’s desire to preserve what he has built, she is horrified, and takes to the seas. Delia’s quest brings her to new Joel. The pair are instantly and intensely drawn to one another.

Yet when she returns with Joel, Robert is apoplectic. Delia and Joel must leave, but find their only means of escape is gone. They wait, knowing Joel’s people will come for him. But when they do, will this bring a melding of worlds and a better future, or will a new fight for survival begin?
