Plants make wonderful pets, she said.
They’re beautiful and easy to take care of, she said.
They help clean the air, she said.
I had my doubts, but I was willing to give it a go.
I named her Cheryl.
When a little girl receives a pet plant as a gift, she tries to love it as much as a kitten but Cheryl is off . . . Plants aren’t supposed to have eyes but she swears that Cheryl is watching her. And when Mom fires up the grill, she swears that Cheryl begins to drool. But no one else in the family seems to notice, or care that something is up with Cheryl! Not until it might be a little too late.
A funny, deliciously creepy book that is perfect for new pet owners and kids with wild imaginations.
