ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
Garden Philosophy shows us gardens as a way of explaining and understanding the world, and its evolution since humans decided to "domesticate" nature.
From the hanging gardens of Babylon to the organic gardens of "urban guerrillas," gardens have been a reflection of society. Those lucky enough to have a patch of green around their home face a difficult decision: should they fence it in? Decorate it with a row of perfectly trimmed hedges? Sit there and gaze at the horizon, contemplating the immensity of the cosmos? Similar questions were asked by the pre-Socratic philosophers, the decadent French aristocrats of Versailles, and the first misanthrope who went to live in ruins in the middle of a forest.
