The First Stone

Cass’s little sister is going to die. He’ll burn the world down to save her.
Mistborn meets Avatar: The Last Airbender, with the same editor who did Red Rising.
As an Ignarus Myth, a human born with power over fire, Cass is considered a danger to humanity.
Centuries ago, Myths were revered, until some mutated into Nightmares that nearly wiped out humanity. From the ruins rose the Prism Spire, ruled by the Arbiter, who built compounds to protect what remained. Then came his decree: all Myths must take the Pax Serum, erasing their powers and Nightmare gene, or be hunted by his augmented soldiers, Grafters.
Cass and his little sister Evelon live beyond the compound walls, hiding because Evelon is the most wanted person in the Prism Spire. With no memories beyond two years ago, they search for answers.
When Evelon falls ill, one mistake forces Cass into a fight with a ruthless Grafter named Felix. Cass faces a fate worse than death when Felix reveals his hidden weapon.
The Pax Serum.
