People of Welsh stock have helped shape the culture and constitution of the United States; they have enriched British culture by wondrous writing, acting, painting, poetry, singing and architecture; the sporting achievements of Welsh people are totally disproportionate to the Welsh contribution to world population. Welsh history should be rewritten in a way that does not dwell on perceived oppression, exploitation, grievance, rebellion and poverty, but rather in a way that makes us proud of our achievements and aspire towards the sure triumphs of the future.
