These works create atmospheric spaces in which the transience, beauty, and complexity of nature are immediately palpable. A key feature of Law’s artistic process is her close collaboration with local communities. Plants are cultivated, harvested, dried, and processed through manual labor. This catalog accompanies the monumental exhibition project of the same name, for which Law created new, overwhelming spaces at four locations in northern Germany. The installations raise awareness of ecological interconnections without being didactic and open up horizons that make the close bond between humans and nature tangible.
