Collection: SMA WISH LIST

The Massive Bookshop is proud to partner with our friends at the Sexual Minorities Archives (SMA) to make it possible for supporters to buy books for them at cost!

The SMA maintains one of the oldest and largest collections of LGBTQIA+ historical documents, media, and artifacts in the world. They have proudly served the Queer communities of western Mass. and beyond for more than 47 years with free access to vital archival materials.

Among the more than 15,000 books and periodicals accessible through the SMA research space in Holyoke, Mass., is the Leslie Feinberg Library: a collection of 1,500 books, which were the late author and activist's personal research library. The SMA also operates Out Books on Wheels, a lending library of more than 4,000 titles that circulate for free to serve all LGBTQIA+ people and allies.

Currently, the SMA is prioritizing adding books by or about LGBTQIA+ Black, Indigenous and people of color to their collections. To help them, we're hosting their wish list of desired books, which you can browse below. All books are priced at cost and you will not pay for shipping. Simply enter your address for billing purposes and check out as normal. We'll deliver any books you order from this list to the SMA ourselves.
