Freedom to Read is a Native-led program of Red Media located in Tiwa Territory (Albuquerque, NM). It aims to alleviate the financial and societal obstacles that create book scarcity in and around Indigenous communities.

Since its founding in 2021, Freedom to Read has supplied free books to libraries, teachers, children, and incarcerated people. Indigenous communities are prioritized.

You can support this project by purchasing books from their wish list below. Simply click on the cover image of a book you want to donate, add it to your cart, and check out as you would notmally.

All books are priced at wholesale cost, so your dollars go further than they would if you bought them elsewhere. You also won't be charged for shipping. As a gesture of solidarity, the Massive Bookshop covers all costs associated with delivering these books to the Freedom to Read crew.
